The passion for the land and the experience gained during creation of new types of the processing and variety of products pushed us to look for a new quality of rice that would stand out from all the others on the market.
To achieve this we embarked on a path of experimentation and selection that lasted seven years, a journey that led us to naturally crossbreed thousands of varieties of rice, selecting and enhancing the best characteristics to obtain a new and unique variety: Riso Rosa Verelé.
Starting from a black pericarp rice and working on the first degree raw product, we achieved a black, whole grain Verelé, but this was only the first step towards the final result.
To distinguish the product further, we continued the process of refinement and selection of the best ears of rice and we finally removed part of the pericarp, obtaining the characteristic pink colour and the unmistakable aroma.
The result is a rice grain with intense shades of grey and purple when raw, which change to a soft pink during cooking, an extraordinary product with a marked aroma which enables our palate to distinguish it and at the same time to balance itself with the other flavours, especially with herbs, flowers and vegetables of intense flavours.
The typical crunchiness of its body gives vivacity and elegance to any preparation, making each dish a real experience of taste.
